CIArb Fellowship and Membership in Brazil (October, 2014)

If you are interested in pursuing the assessment to become a Fellow (FCIArb) or a Member (MCIArb) of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators – CIArb, you may take advantage of the program that CIArb will offer in Rio on October 27 – November 1, 2014. For more information on the program and how to apply, please download the flyer here. Cesar A. Guimarães Pereira is one of the few FCIArb currently registered in Brazil. When a larger number of FCIArb is reached, Brazil will be entitled to receive regularly CIArb’s programs and courses on various aspects of ADR. Learn more about CIArb at www.ciarb.org.

International conference on the CISG and Brazil

On March 19 and 20, the international conference “CISG and Brazil” took place in Curitiba under the academic supervision of Cesar A. Guimarães Pereira. The audience of more than 400 participants completely filled the Federal Courthouse auditorium in Curitiba all during the event photo. The various panels discussed the UN Convention for the International Sale of Goods, which will enter into force in Brazil in April. Check here the presentations made by Cesar A. The seminar was an initiative of the Federal Courts Council, EMAGIS and CAM-CCBC, and it was supported by FIEP and the Brazil Infrastructure Institute.
